Our Story

In 1867, residents of Upper Sandusky and the surrounding area adopted a constitution and became St. Paul Lutheran Church.  In 1870, a church building was erected on the corner of North Sandusky and Bigelow Streets.  In 1926, due to overcrowding of the church building, a new church was built at the current location on North 8th Street.  Of course, a church is much more than a building.  A church consists of its people and the spreading of the Gospel along with the administration of the church's sacraments.

Our congregation is part of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, a church open to all!  In January of 2016, North Salem Lutheran Church merged with St. Paul to become a "new St. Paul."  We are excited about the future here and would love for you to be a part of it!  We invite you to worship with us anytime!  We are truly "Called by Christ and United to Serve!"
